Technical and Commercial Meeting
Our advisors will contact you to gather detailed information about your sun care project and assess its feasibility.

Feasibility and Proposal I
If the sun care project is viable, we provide a quotation for formula development based on the initial requirements. If you choose an existing or ready-to-go formula, we move directly to step 5.

Specific R&D&I
Our laboratory develops the required formulations according to the project specifications and sends samples for approval. Once the formula has been validated, we work on the available packaging options.

Proposal II Validation
We send Proposal II for the production of the final sun protection product, including the formula and packaging. Once approved, internal product codes are created and the creative process begins, including design and copy development.

Creative Approval
The client confirms that the designs and texts are correct, allowing us to proceed with the procurement of the necessary materials.

Receipt of Materials
All materials are received at our facilities and inspected and approved by our Quality Department before entering production.

Production
The sun protection product is manufactured and packaged in automated, fully authorised facilities.

Quality Control
Thorough physical and microbiological quality controls are carried out before the batch is released.
10
CPNP Registration and Commercialisation
The sun protection product is registered on the European CPNP portal and is ready to be placed on the market.
FAQS
How long does a private-label cosmetics or hair care project take?
The production lead time is 10 weeks from final design approval, provided the project uses packaging that is currently in stock. This 10-week period includes the procurement of labels, cosmetic manufacturing, packaging, quality controls and microbiological testing.
For projects requiring packaging or components that are not in stock, lead times may vary and should be confirmed in advance. Approximately 90% of our projects are developed using packaging available in stock.
Can Valquer manage the registration of my third-party cosmetic product?
Yes. Valquer Laboratorios manages the registrations under its own name and acts as the Responsible Person before the relevant European authorities. This means the client does not have to handle the technical and regulatory management of the cosmetic product in Europe.
What is the minimum quantity for manufacturing private-label cosmetics?
There is no mandatory minimum production quantity. However, based on our experience and competitiveness, we are particularly attractive from 1,000 units per reference.
Do you offer turnkey private-label cosmetics projects?
Yes. Approximately 90% of projects are developed on a turnkey or full-service basis. We take care of purchasing materials and raw materials, manufacturing, packaging, quality controls, registration and support through to commercialisation.
The remaining 10% corresponds to projects in which the client provides some packaging or raw materials.
What packaging options do you offer for private-label cosmetics?
We have a wide variety of packaging, caps, dispensers, jars and bottles, both in stock and through approved suppliers with whom we regularly work. This allows us to adapt each cosmetic project to the needs of the product, the sales channel and the brand.
Can you help with the design and labelling of the cosmetic product?
Yes. We support the client in managing the design process (not the creative part), providing legal texts, iconography, barcodes and technical review of the final artwork. In addition, we review the designs to ensure they comply with current European regulations.
Do you work with natural ingredients in your cosmetic formulations?
Yes. We aim for each formulation to contain a high percentage of natural ingredients, while always prioritising proven efficacy, formula stability and product safety.
How do you guarantee the quality of raw materials and cosmetic manufacturing?
We work with approved suppliers across five continents, audited by our Quality teams. In addition, we maintain control and traceability of everything ordered, received and produced to ensure consistency, safety and quality in every project.
What certifications does Valquer Laboratorios hold as a cosmetics manufacturer?
Valquer holds internationally recognised certifications, including IFS, ISO 22716, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, Halal and EcoVadis. This foundation reinforces the reliability of our third-party and private-label cosmetic manufacturing services.
Does Valquer manufacture cosmetic products for pets?
Yes. Valquer Laboratorios is registered in the Register of Entities Manufacturing Zoosanitary Products under number HCM-MUZ-10054. In addition, since 4 April 2025, registration of HCM-MUZ products and their respective holder companies is no longer mandatory.
